Description
The Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician takes calls from patients, pharmacies and providers, and performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. The Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician performs computations and typically works on semi-routine assignments.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician handles inbound calls to address questions related to specific assigned area and assists with medication research. Triages calls that require consultation with a pharmacist. Occasional outbound calls to physician's offices and local pharmacies as needed to assist in obtaining prescription fills at a Retail pharmacy while waiting for mail order supply.
In this role you will:
Work from home in a virtual call-center environment taking inbound calls from Humana Pharmacy members.
Answer questions and resolve issues regarding mail order pharmacy inquiries
Triage calls that require consultation with a Pharmacist
Make occasional outbound calls to physician's offices or retail pharmacies as needed to assist members in obtaining prescription fills at a retail pharmacy while waiting for mail order supply.
Interact with physician's offices, pharmacies, internal departments, and members
Hours: During daylight savings: 11:30AM- 8:00 PM shift. After daylight savings: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM shift. Saturday - 3 week rotation.
Required Qualifications
Must have an active Pharmacy Technician or Tech in Training license in Arizona - Tech in Training license must be active for at least 1 year out from application date
Must be able to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Technician in Training OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting
Excellent communication skills
Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously
A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for customer service
High School diploma or GED
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Home Office requirements:
A dedicated secure home workspace located in a room that has minimal distractions; a door that closes; a location for a secure desk that can support 2 monitors, a phone, a keyboard, and a mouse; location of desk must prevent monitors from being viewable by a window; and high-speed internet (minimum connection speed of 10m x 1m)
Must be able to travel into Glendale office building as needed
Must have or be able to obtain a smoke detector and fire extinguisher
Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10 panel drug test
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish
Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
Experience working with insurance plans and Medicare
