The Consultative Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

What type of work does Clinical Services do?
We spend a great deal of time on the phone with our members. The nature of the conversation varies each call. Below are a few examples of scenarios we handle.
o Clinical questions- we triage the call to evaluate the member's concerns, answer questions within our scope, and hand the call off to a pharmacist when appropriate.
o Problems with an order- we can assist members with concerns such as packages lost in the mail, orders needing approval, returns, and delayed orders.
o Clinical Services Technicians provide the member with resolution for any and all concerns within our scope of practice. Initiative, decision-making skills, and communication are pertinent to the role.
What type of work does a Clinical Services Tech in training Technician do?
Associates in Clinical Services work in office or from the convenience of their home in a call center capacity and perform the following:
o Handle inbound & outbound calls.
Associates are automatically queued for incoming calls.
They will resolve the members concerns, complete the request, then return to the queue for their next incoming call.
o Interact with internal partners (leaders and peers) and external partners (patients and providers) via phone, instant messenger, and email.
o Multitasking (phone, computer, keyboard, and mouse provided by Humana).
Phone- inbound/outbound calls using a desk phone or computer phone.
Navigating 5 applications while speaking to/assisting our members.
Typing: note taking, data entry.
Research: using Humana-provided resources as well as chat/email to answer questions and assist with the member's needs.
What are the departmental expectations?
Available to work 8 hour shift M-F with a Saturday rotation and some holidays. The Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 11:30AM-8:00PM MST (March-November) and 12:30PM-9:00PM MST (November-March ).
Key performance measurements include call quality, average time per call, and results of an experience survey conducted by the member.
o Appraisal period upon hire to work toward department goals.
Attendance/Punctuality in a call center environment is crucial
Ability to remain professional, calm and de-escalate tense situations
If you will be working from home,
o You are required to provide your own internet (min. of 20 MBPS), desk, fire extinguisher
o Your computer must be wired to the modem, you cannot use Wi-Fi
o Appropriate State Board licenses must be maintained at your workstation.
o Designated work area -must be separate from other traffic in your home
Required Qualifications
Active AZ or TX Pharmacy Technician license
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting
Excellent communication skills
Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and strong data entry skills
A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for customer service
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
National Pharmacy Technician - PTCB or ExCPT
Bilingual in Spanish
Additional Information
The Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 11:30AM-8:00PM MST (March-November) and 12:30PM-9:00PM MST (November-March) with a Saturday rotation. Candidates must reside in Arizona or Texas.
Vaccine Policy

Work-At-Home Requirements:
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
