Bilingual HR Generalist
Contract to Hire
Up to $38/hour based on experience
In Office M-F 8-5pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings (Must have DOT experience)
Creates offer letters, processes background checks, initiates drug test, and completes e-Verifies
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to performance management, compensation, benefits, leave of absences, employee recognition/morale, training, and development
Handles application, employment or HR policy related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers
Attends and participates in investigations, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
Maintains knowledge of trend and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law
Operates HR practices within federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommending best practices, process changes, and policies updates
Responsible, in collaboration with the Payroll Administrator, for HRIS maintenance, integrations, compliance audits and reporting
Serves as a back-up to the Payroll Administrator
Required Skills/Abilities:
1. Bilingual in Spanish and English.
2. Work independently with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
3. Ability to prioritize tasks and remain highly productive in project completions.
4. Influences others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
5. College Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work-related experience.
6. HR Certification preferred.
7. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
10. Strong analytical problem-solving skills, seeing problems through to their resolution.
11. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
12. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
