Job Description:

The primary role of the Technical Translator is to make sure that consistently relied upon for verification and correction of translated material. The Technical Translator needs to ensure that the translated version has the same meaning as the original document.

The Technical Translator will also be called upon by members of the Mexico Exploration team to translate compliance documents from regulators in Spanish for technical professionals to further process or execute an action.

Requirements:


Bachelor's degree
4 years of experience in the same role
Proficient in both written and oral English and Spanish, including colloquialisms, business vocabulary, and scientific terminology
Must have a technical background (Geoscience, Reservoir Engineer).
Experienced with several computer programs, including Microsoft Office
Extremely precise and dedicated
Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management
Resilient under pressure and ability to adapt with the business through changing context
Advocate for championing change and overcoming resistance in reaction of local context reality and constant changes on a country and business level
