The Consultative Pharmacy Technician 2 certified Pharmacy Technician who acts as an intake for all calls from patients, pharmacies and providers. The Consultative Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

Serving over 450 customers and nearly 100,000 patients nationally, Enclara works closely with hospices to reduce pharmacy costs, improve patient care and support caregivers through: digital innovations, flexible medication access, one-on-one clinical support, and excellent customer service.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM EST, with rotating weekends, Must cover 2 holidays per year
Location: Remote work at home position in TN or PA. Must live within the state to be qualified. If located in TN, you must have your TN Pharmacy Tech License and national pharmacy certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
The Consultative Pharmacy Technician 2 addresses questions related to specific assigned area and assists with medication research. Triages calls that require consultation with a pharmacist. Makes outbound calls to patients to offer medication therapy management programs and schedules medication review sessions with consultative pharmacists. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reconcile incoming Controlled substance prescriptions, including the processing of faxed and mailed prescriptions as per standard operating procedure
Assist in maintaining prescriber files by updating personal information/preferences as requested
Access and process prescriptions in the dispensing and faxing systems
Perform follow-up with hospices/prescribers to clear up any fax related issues or discrepancies
Process daily reports as needed
Respond to all email requests and phone calls regarding CII medication inquiries accurately and timely
Manage the Controlled substance fax folders and make necessary changes to prescription information such as directions, drug and strength
Recognize and interpret hand written and typed information from inbound faxed prescriptions, including ability to read sig codes
Possess a working knowledge of dispensing system functionality
Transition inbound controlled substances faxes to Hard Copy on File
Complete incoming tasks as assigned by the CII Supervisor, Manager or Team Leader
Meet and maintain productivity and quality requirements
Utilize faxing system to refax prescriptions to prescribers as needed
Process incoming e-prescriptions and follow-up as needed for any identified discrepancies
Maintain and strengthen a working relationship with both internal and external clients
Perform all other duties/projects as assigned by the CII Supervisor, Manager
Required Qualifications
Requires High School Diploma
Must have an active Pharmacy Technician or Tech in Training license
Must be able to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 10 months of hire
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting
Excellent communication skills
Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and strong data entry skills
A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for customer service
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish
COVID 19 Vaccination:
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.
