We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our second in-house optical lab in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a vertically integrated brand, this lab is the next step in continuing to provide a remarkable customer experience, allowing for more sustainable growth across our supply chain.
We are
on the lookout for a logistics leader to join the team as our Distribution Manager. You’ll support the commissioning of our new lab, including setting up the warehouse and distribution activities.
What you’ll do:
Manage inbound and outbound, putaway, inventory management/accuracy, frame rework, and kitting operations for our optical lab
Own key metrics for the facility, including on-time receipts, dock to stock, on-time fulfillment, cycle count accuracy, and labor efficiency
Manage, coach, mentor and develop employees through routine meetings to discuss individual and department performance and goals
Handle lens ordering and inventory receiving for the facility according to production demand
Serve as the subject matter expert on our WMS/LMS system
Partner with our HQ Supply Chain team to roll out new initiatives
Actively participate in the training and development activities for distribution employees, including onboarding, technical training, and ongoing refreshers to ensure compliance with department SOPs and process work instructions
Who you are:
Backed by 5–7 years of experience with warehousing/logistics in a high-volume environment
Has previous people management experience in an industrial environment of 20 associates
; you enjoy teaching and training and are able to resolve personnel issues
Always applies a safety-first mentality
A positive team leader (and exceptional team player!) who can quickly build respect within their team and across stakeholder groups
Experience with ERP & WMS software
Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
Extra credit:
Lean Six Sigma certification
Previous experience working on regulated products
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Previous experience managing carrier relationships
