This position is responsible for driving engagement on the organization's Social Media platforms to support our business objectives. This position is integral to connecting the sentiment and feedback of online communities to the organization's storefronts and programs.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties
Develops a metrics-driven strategy to utilize social media to drive organization growth and engagement.
Designs and administers A/B tests that help identify community values.
Identifies and reports on community trends and forecasts potential opportunities and risks.
Ensures the organization's news, community events, and awards are promoted across the website and social channels.
Utilizes information from social media to provide insights that help the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) teams better understand the needs of their patients and clients.
Actively works to grow the size and impact of the organization's online community.
Leads and moderates community engagement across all of the organization's social media.
Monitors social media discussions and provides responses in a timely fashion. Maintains a contact list of staff and their topical expertise to enable a quick response to specific questions.
Develops communications, engagement strategies, and a content programming plan in coordination with the Content Strategist.
Leverages social media to develop stronger relationships with the community, industry, and governmental partners.
Connects the sentiment and feedback of online communities to the organization's storefronts and programs.
Works with the internal community ambassadors to develop tactical plans to support community engagement.
Provides coaching and guidance to colleagues on social media best practices.
Works behind the scenes to ensure social media engagement by seeding conversations, recruiting participants, and reminding contributors to participate in social media.
Provides community event logistics for various virtual and in-person gatherings as it applies to social media.
Creates and delivers regular and on-demand reporting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communication, or related field.
Experience:
Three years' experience in enterprise-level content creation, social media strategy, and channel management. Work samples will be required. Experience acting as spokesperson preferred.
Licenses:
Driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
Knowledge of basic design for social media platforms. Knowledge and background in doing effective and efficient research.Ability to quickly create copy for various audiences and channels. Ability to use data to explore process and message improvement. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. This position is not eligible for bilingual differential pay. Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills with individuals and groups. Ability to develop effective working relationships to gain trust and establish credibility with individuals within and outside the organization. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time. Ability to organize work while performing multiple tasks requiring attention to detail. Proficiency with a variety of content creation applications and software programs. Proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
