Description

The Project Manager 2 manages all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager 2 designs, communicates, and implements an strategic plan for completing projects; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; takes action to resolve problems and minimize delays. Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the project. Prepares designs and work specifications; develops project schedules, monitor budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. Communicates with other business areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Conducts meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project. Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Lead teams in the delivery of high-quality programs and solutions that meet business needs.

Create detailed project design documents and task-level project plans to organize cross-functional teams and work specifications.

Provides analytical guidance to project team and develops project plans to ensure they meet all requirements.

Perform continuous improvements analysis.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineer or Project Management related field

Able to prepare and provide project presentations during meetings with Senior Management

Previous experience in project management

Knowledge of Microsoft Project

Previous experience with management of new implementations

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Prior experience managing mid to large scale projects

Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Bilingual English/Spanish. Intermediate level in English. Candidate selected will not be communicating in English with members.

Strong Proficiency on MS Project, Visio, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Able to meet deadline, work with tight schedules and manage multiple priorities under minimum supervision

Work At Home requirements (Temporary due to COVID-19): Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Preferred Qualifications

Prior work history in a fast paced environment

Master Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineer or related field

Experience in the Health Care/Insurance Industry

PMP and/or Six Sigma Certifications a plus

Additional information

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Training: TBD. San Juan main building

Work Location (Address): This permanent job is working from Home temporary due to Covid 19 emergency. This position will deploy to the following location at a future date: 383 Avenue F D Roosevelt Avenue. San Juan, PR 00918-2131 . Alternative work arrangements such as ability to work from home

Travel: 5% or less
