SUMMARY: This position provides interpreting and translation services and administrative support while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Ability to interpret accurately for any management or personnel staff. Must be able to interpret for any team members who are non-English speaking. Ability to interpret documents accurately from English to Spanish or vise versa. Must be able to assist the dispensary staff with physicals and doctor appointments including interpretation for any non-English-speaking team members at the doctor ’ s office. Any other tasks or miscellaneous duties deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Bilingual English Spanish. Must be able to pass the Interpreter Assessment with an average total score of 90% or higher. Good general knowledge of the production areas and management personnel. Skilled in accurate interpretation. Must be able to communicate translate effectively in verbal and written format English Spanish and translate written documents. Must agree to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Computer Skills: Basic PC skills preferred. Primarily Microsoft Windows XP Professional programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office programs.

Communication Skills: Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of team members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.

Special Skills: Ability to drive a company vehicle. Must carry a valid driver's license. Excellent people skills and a willingness to assist as needed. Ability to work under little supervision.

Travel: Minimal

Must effectively communicate with other team members and management in both English and Spanish

Must work independently
