Responsibilities
Humana's Corporate Marketing organization is seeking 2 Bilingual Production Professionals that are fluent in both English and Spanish to join the Humana Translation team supporting Medicaid growth and to meet compliance requirements for our multicultural members. As the Bilingual Production Professional 2, you will effectively manage projects to fulfill written translations as requested by communication owners throughout Humana.
Key Role Functions
Working with internal business areas to process translation requests of pre-formatted documents
Partnering with external translation vendors to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and are delivered to meet pre-determined deadlines
Proofreading and quality-checking translations before delivery
Providing feedback to translation vendors regarding quality of translations as needed
Understanding department, segment and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their link to related areas
Making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations and requiring minimal direction and receiving guidance where needed
Following established guidelines/procedures
Required Qualifications
Bilingual English. Must be able to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance. See Additional Information on testing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including exceptional grammar skills in English and Spanish
Previous translation and/or proofreading experience
Proven project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated attention to detail and proven organizational skills
Experience working in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work autonomously and manage one's work using strong time management skills
Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Previous experience as writer/editor/journalist in Spanish
Experience partnering with/managing external vendors
Fluency in additional languages: Chinese, Korean, etc.
Experience working with Adobe InDesign
Additional Requirements/Information
Language Proficiency Testing
Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
Home or Hybrid Home/Office Requirements
All Humana associates approved for the Home or Hybrid Home/Office work styles are required to self-provide wireless, wired cable or DSL access to the internet at the connectivity speeds required by the company to successfully perform their job with the exception of associates who live or work from home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Connectivity requirements are detailed below.

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership. (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)
Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Covid Vaccination Policy
Our company requires vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility
