SUMMARY: This position is an entry level HR management position and will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative, technical, and professional work while learning the fundamentals of managing plant Human Resource functions including but not limited to compensation, recruitment, selection, benefits counseling, and employee relations. Specific responsibilities taught will include advertising, recruiting, interviewing, assisting in selection of team members to fill vacant positions, and human resource transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, termination, and preparing reports such as turnover percentages, affirmative action reports, and personnel activity reports. A thorough knowledge in and monitoring of adherence to OSHA laws, Workers Compensation, EEO, and ADA employment labor laws, developing curriculum, and conducting trainings will be gained in this role. Team Member relations employment policies and monitoring all disciplinary actions taken to ensure they are consistent and fair as well as attending and participating in community functions as a Tyson representative will be an intricate part of the developmental process involved in this position; other responsibilities as they arise.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area preferred.

Experience: HR experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Special Skills: Motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn and the ability to lead others; possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good presentation skills; high level of integrity; sense of urgency and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
