Description
The Manager, Pharmacy Sales - Specialty leverages targeted geographic analysis, engages with Physician offices to influence physicians to route patients' prescriptions to Humana Pharmacy for fulfillment. The Manager, Pharmacy Sales - Specialty works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Pharmacy Sales - Specialty focuses on increasing orders to Humana Pharmacy, resulting in increased prescriptions and revenues. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.
This position requires 60-70% travel within the mid-west territory and outside for business travel as needed with a remote home office.
Territory includes Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado, Michigan, Indiana and Missouri.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
6 or more years of pharmacy operations experience
2 or more years of management experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of business dynamics
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partnering business segments
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Six Sigma/Lean Black belt or similar process improvement certifications
Specialty Pharmacy operations experience
Managed Care Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Visio (or similar process mapping tool) and statistical software packages
Bilingual in English and Spanish--ability to read, write and speak both languages fluent
Additional Information
