A bilingual sales professional must have a Bachelor's or associate's degree in marketing or related fields of study. Certified degrees or diplomas in languages like Spanish, French, Italian, German, Arabic and Russian are helpful for a candidate applying for this type of position. A person should be able to converse fluently in at least two languages.

Many large companies require a bilingual sales professional to have prior experience ranging between two to five years. Outstanding negotiation abilities and sales tactics are also qualities sought in bilingual sales professionals.

A good bilingual sales professional can easily have an income of $65,000 to $140,000 per year; Benefits include health and medical insurance, dental insurance paid vacations and more. Travel expenses related to company work are also reimbursed.

Bilingual sales professionals are sought after by international companies, educational institutions, telecom companies, hotels, hospitals, IT and software companies, and any company that conducts business with individuals worldwide.
